Description
This is the GENUINE NISSAN lower steering shaft to suit all Spain built (VIN starting in VSK) D40 NAVARA and all R51 PATHFINDER models.
This shaft goes from the main steering column in the cabin to the power steering rack in the engine bay.
It includes the universal joint and the dust boot.
The universal joints are known to wear on these models due to exposure to dirt and moisture in the engine bay and particularly if the rubber boot is damaged or perished.
This normally results in play in the steering and sometimes a clunk. Ignoring this could lead to a catastrophic failure of the steering mechanism and loss of control. Be safe and replace it with the GENUINE NISSAN part.
